The Volunteer Centre offers its members and the public:

1.  Virtual website: www.volunteercentre.info with 24 hr. access to resources for volunteers.

2.  Member services:

• E-mail of volunteer opportunities to volunteers in data base.
• Publication of a Volunteer Opportunities Directory
• Listing of Volunteer Opportunities on the Website
• Attend trade shows to register volunteers and promote Volunteer Opportunities open with Members
• Workshops for managers of Volunteers (Targeted Recruitment & Best Practices for Engaging Volunteers)
• Presentations: “Creating the Ultimate Volunteer Experience”

3.  Programs and development initiatives

• Participatory approach to Board Development
• Youth Program
• 2011 Annual Seniors Symposium: Volunteering and Healthy Aging

4.  Supports in place to offer services:

• Volunteers register with Volunteer Centre (Data base of registered volunteers)
• Membership (Data base of 500 non profit organizations in the Region)
• News Releases advocating for volunteerism
• Funding applications for Training programs available for Staff and Volunteers in non-profits
