How do I add my business/organization?

First create a username and password.  You will then receive an email asking you to verify your account.  Once verified you can then create your business profile.


Can anyone add a business to Our Okanagan?

Yes, as long as you are a local, independently owned businesses or non-profit organization.   For more information, see the Terms of Use.

What if I am a non-profit organization?

When you choose the non-profit category, you will have the choice to add up to three (3) services that you provide.  These services will be listed in the Resources section of Our Okanagan.    

  

What if I have more than one location in the Valley?

Enter a separate business profile for each location so each location is found in an area search.   

 

What if I have a mobile business license for the Valley?

Indicate your home base address in your business profile and add details of the area you cover in the "location" field.

 

How can I change my business/organization profile?

First you must log in using your username and password.  You can then click the "Add/Edit Business" link at the top of the page. 

 

Are there any fees for Our Okanagan?

Right now, no.  As of January 2013, a user fee will start.  Fees will be set to cover only the costs to host the portal.  Our goal is to keep Our Okanagan as inexpensive as possible. 

 

Will I get SPAM from Our Okanagan?

No. We have made every effort to ensure the security of the site.  Our Okanagan will occasionally send out information regarding your industry or ask for feedback. 

 

Will Our Okanagan businesses and organizations be distributed to anyone for direct mail?

No. 

 

How do I remove a business from Our Okanagan?

It is easy.  Simply login through the edit/add my business at the top of the page for your business listings. Once logged in you can remove your listing by clicking the delete button.

 

How do I de-activate my account?

That's easy too.  You can contact the administrators who will remove your account and any profiles completely.   

 

Why can’t I log in?

Check to make sure your username and password are entered exactly as show in your verficiation email.  If you still can't log in, please contact through our Feedback link and we will get back to you as soon as we can. 


 

How do I provide feedback or submit a concern about Our Okanagan?

Use the Feedback link located at the top of the page.  Please provide as much information as possible.  We can only make Our Okanagan better with your input.
