The Volunteer Adult Literacy Tutoring Program at Okanagan College provides one-to-one tutoring to adults over the age of 19. Learners may be college students or members of the wider community who require assistance with reading, writing, math, or computer skills at varying levels. We also have small-group upgrading classes available on-campus.

Volunteer Literacy Tutor

The Volunteer Adult Literacy Tutoring Program at Okanagan College provides one-to-one tutoring to adults over the age of 19. Learners may be college students or members of the wider community who require assistance with reading, writing, math, or computer skills at varying levels. Volunteer tutors also come from a wide range of backgrounds. The qualities we look for in a tutor are patience, empathy, and flexibility, as well as a strong skill level in at least one of the subject areas mentioned above. Free training and workshops are provided. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
