The Vanilla Pod Restaurant on Our Okanagan:

Sheila & Paul Jones purchased the Vanilla Pod Restaurant in April 2006 and introduced a completely new way of dining to the Okanagan - tapas.  Small plates to share.  Chef Bruno Terroso joined the team in May 2006 completing a winning combination.  The restaurant began with 32 seats and has now expanded to 64 with 14 seats on the only patio on Main Street in Summerland.  Ambiance, excellent food using local products, and a specially selected wine list from Okanagan wineries ensure a memorable experience.  Both the food and wine menus change with the seasons.  A representative selection is posted on the website (www.thevanillapod.ca) however items do change regularly.

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5:30pm in the summer.  Hours of operation do change after October wine festival.  There is not a strict closing time - so call if you want a late dinner.  Our kitchen closes when the last person leaves.

The restaurant can be booked for private lunches of 10 or more.  A menu will be created for each individual group to meet their requirements.  The Vanilla Pod Restaurant also offers a catering option for weddings and private parties.  Call or email for more information.

golf tournie

Monday August 15th saw the second annual Vanilla Pod Open.  This year, the servers went against the kitchen.  Servers were exceptionally slow and the kitchen was forced to play circles around them.  Full out water war broke out on the 15th hole with the kitchen holding the high ground.  At the end of the day, the kitchen reigned supreme by 2 strokes!!

Ladies Night

Leave the men at home and come in and enjoy two specials - dip and martini for $11 per person or feature dessert and dessert wine for $9 per person (two person minimum) - or both!!  Call or email for reservations.
