Rocky Ridge Farm is nestled along the base of the hill and borders the Shuswap River in Mara. We have been growing garlic for about twenty years, moving to Rocky Ridge Farm ten years ago enabled us to increase our crop. Growing garlic is very labour intensive, but we are happy to produce great garlic.
We grow two kinds of garlic: Yugoslavian, strong and spicy (Ian's favourite) and Italian, a little milder and sweeter, but still with a kick to it (Anne's favourite).
Our dried garlic is perfect if you run out of fresh or are in a hurry. We have garlic powder, granules and chips.
Our dried garlic scapes have become a favourite of many people, even some who don't like garlic! They have a mild "green"garlic taste and are delicious on baked potatoes and in dips or with soft goat cheese.
The cookbook we created over several years and many meals, The Glorious Garlic Cookbook offers many ways to enjoy garlic.
