Rob and Kathryn Hettler began their organic market garden in 1991 so celebrated their farm's 20th birthday with a wonderful event on April 10th, 2011. They are committed to sustainable agricultural practices, seeking to leave their land in better condition than when they bought it. They sell into Vernon and Armstrong farmers' markets, a couple of restaurants, and through the Community Shared Agriculture weekly box program.
In 2010 Kathryn wrote the book Real Food Real Health with Dr. Maureen Clement. It's all about local foods (and how to find them) between Kelowna and the Shuswap. Sold for $20 at Vernon and Armstrong Farmers markets.
