GumTree Catering is currently searching for positive, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about food and organization. As a event coordinator, your skills and knowledge of food and customer service will make the customers experience exceptional. Shifts will vary depending on events and networking meeting. Part time to start and moving to full time during wedding season and Christmas As a event coordinator you will: • Network to generate business (women in business, referral groups) • Social networking – twitter, facebook and linkenin • Organize weddings and special events from start to finish • Create and update monthly newsletter • Answer telephone calls in a courteous professional manner • Deal directly with guests to make their experience efficient and friendly Essential qualifications and skills: • Enthusiasm for cooking and love food • Experience organizing large events • Computer experience with excel and Microsoft word • Customer service experience Desired personal skills: A positive and passionate personality, with the natural ability to communicate with people A demonstrated ability to listen and empathize with our customers’ needs and problems A knack for problem solving and multitasking in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment A mature approach to work by taking ownership and responsibility in high stress situations A commitment to teamwork and working in a fun and friendly atmosphere Salary – $10.00 an hour to start but based on experience and bonus system
