Gambell Farms on Our Okanagan:

In 1963, a young and eager Pearce Gambell started farming on Bond Road in Lake Country.  In 1975 he and his wife Penny purchased the "cherry orchard" at 12133 Okanagan Centre Road East. Since those early days, Gambell Farms has continued to satisfy customers with the best quality fruit.  Today Gambell Farms, led by their son Andrew, is a thriving family business tending over 30 acres of fertile benchlands.  Gambell Farms operates their fruit and vegetable market from July to the end of October, providing an abundant supply of local vegetables grown on the farm such as peas, beans, potatoes, tomatoes, summer and winter squash, beets and more.  We also grow 7 varieties of sweet cherries, Smokey saskatoon and other berries, summer plums, apricots, nectarines, peaches, 3 varieties of pears, prunes, 12 varieties of fresh apples, 4 varieties of table grapes, baking "pie" pumpkins, and jack o'lantern pumpkins.  This family farm is strongly supportive of sustainable living, growing fruit and vegetables for healthier lifestyles in our community and beyond.  Come to visit our farm overlooking beautiful Wood Lake and enjoy some fresh country produce.
