The Mission of the Friends of Fintry is to create an environment that allows park visitors and participants to engage in recreational and educational opportunities that develop a greater understanding of their heritage, the lifestyles of their forebears, and the household and farming practices, skills, and knowledge that sustained them.

Fintry Spring Fair

The Friends of Fintry will be celebrating Mother’s Day on the grounds of the Manor House with their Spring Fair. Exhibitors and vendors will set up displays on the lawn showcasing plants and shrubs, gardening know-how, food stuffs, house maintenance, and arts and crafts. See Úlfhéðnar (oolf-heth-nar), a group of historical reenactors portray the life of a roving Viking warband and listen to musicians play from the front veranda of the Manor House throughout the day. Visit the North Westside Firefighters who will bring their heavy equipment onto the lawn and if you come early you can hear the Kalamalka Highlanders Pipe Band play. Games and activities will entertain children of all ages and food will be available for purchase from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Entry to the Fair is by donation and there is no charge for Fintry Members and school-age children. Tours of the Manor House cost $5 per Adult. Fintry Fall Fair

The Vikings are coming to the Fintry Fall Fair on Sunday, September 18th from 10am – 4pm! Come and celebrate autumn on the grounds of the Manor House and be transported back to the 9th to 10th centuries with Úlfhéðnar (oolf-heth-nar), a group of historical reenactors who portray the life of a roving Viking warband. Learn about the Viking way of life through family-friendly, unscripted combat, shield wall demonstrations, archery competitions, and much more! Úlfhéðnar creates a realistic fun learning environment where friends, family, and spectators can all participants. There will also be arts, crafts, fresh farm produce and a variety of foods available for purchase along with entertainment by Bradley Ulmer, Dale Zeich with Roy Lysholt. Don’t miss the Kalamalka Pipe Band who will be playing at 11am. Bring the whole family as there will be something for everyone! Entry to the Fall Fair is by donation. Fintry Summer Fair

Join the Friends of Fintry on Sunday July 17th from 10 am. to 4 pm for the Fintry Summer Fair. Take in summer and enjoy live entertainment, a variety of food, The Kalamalka Highlanders Pipe Band, Kid’s games, Blacksmithing demonstrations and much more on the front lawn of the Fintry Manor House! Fintry Fall Fair

The Friends of Fintry will be celebrating autumn on the grounds of the Manor House with their Fall Fair. Emcee Don Burnett will be hosting and there will be a variety of exhibitors and vendors onsite; including Dawnfire Forge, Blowfish Glassworks and Picture Perfect. Musicians will play from the veranda and the Westside Firefighters will be scooping ice-cream throughout the day. Food will be available for purchase from the House of the Caribbean and Master Chef Kareem Chambers will be featuring his scrumptious Mexican tacos. As always there will be lots of fun and games for the kids so bring the whole family! Entry to the Fall Fair is by donation. Fintry Summer Fair

Sunday, July 12: Fintry Summer Fair 10:00am – 4:00pm Grounds of the Manor House 7655 Fintry Delta Rd. Booths will be set up on the front lawn emphasizing garden flowers, gardening know how and arts and crafts. This year’s emcee will Don Burnett, perhaps the area’s most famous garden consultant. There will be a variety of vendors onsite including well-known BC potter, Bob Kingsmill. Musicians, such as the Kalamalka Highlanders Pipe Band, will play from the veranda throughout the day. Games and a bouncy castle will entertain children in the afternoon. House of Caribbean and the Crepe Bistro will be onsite and purchased food will be available from 11:30 am to 2:30. The Westside Firefighters will also be selling ice cream in the afternoon! Entry to the Summer Fair is by donation. Fintry Trunk & Tailgate Sale

Bring your car or pickup to the Fintry Manor House front lawn to sell your treasures/goods at our 2014 Fall Trunk and Tailgate Sale. Enjoy live music from the front veranda and ethnic food will be available for purchase on the grounds. Proceeds from the sale go towards the preservation and restoration of the Fintry Heritage Estate by The Friends of Fintry Provincial Park Society (a non-profit Society). Saturday, September 13, 2014, Hours 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Entry fee per vehicle & occupants $10, admission to grounds by donation, member free. Manor House and Barn tours $5 per person. Fintry Summer Fair

The Friends of Fintry will hold the 4th annual Fintry Summer Fair on Sunday July 13 celebrating BC Parks Day on the scenic grounds of the Fintry Manor House. The Fair will be open from 10 am until 4 pm with artists, artisans and others exhibiting their work, products and produce. Several local and provincial organizations will come to highlight their work in the Okanagan. Musical entertainment will continue throughout the day, with the Kalamalka Pipe Band marching onto the lawn at 11 am. The North Westside Fire Fighters will bring their heavy equipment and plan to organize demonstrations. Children’s games will begin at 11:30 am and will include a Bouncy Castle ($1 charge). Three vendors will provide a range of food to purchase for lunch, with traditional hotdogs and hamburgers, French sweet and savory crepes and spicy Caribbean chicken on the menu. Entry to the grounds will cost $5 for adults and $2 for youths 11-18. There will be no charge for Members of the Society and children. Entry to the Manor House and Barns will be by donation. Visitors from the whole region are invited to enjoy the beauty of Fintry Provincial Park and to join in the fun.
