Ellis Avenue Analog Studio on Our Okanagan:

"...recording on tape creates warmth, ambience, and richness in detail...it captures the true signature of the musician....it's as close as one can get to the sound of the musician playing right in the room with you. Europe is experiencing a renaissance in analog recording studios, and new companies, like ATR and RMG are making tape. People are rediscovering the superoir quality of analog recording."  Thurein Myint, owner/musician/producer of Ellis Avenue Analog Studio

The first of its kind in the Okanagan Valley, Ellis Avenue Analog Studio in Summerland has been described as "a real gem". Thurein Myint set up and completed the studio building in the summer of 2013. Although the studio is so new it smells of freshly-hewn cedar, it's already garnered local media attention.

Thurein Myint's inspiration for creating an analog, versus digital studio, is due to his absolute devotion to good sound. His studio holds the highest quality equipment. He shares his unparalled passion for music with the next generation of emerging artists.

An eclectic and accomplished artist, teacher, producer, Thurein Myint started his music production career at the tender age of 14 in his family's analog studio (Musicworld Studios) in his native country of Burma. He is a professional songwriter and musician for over 25 years, performing both as a solo artist and in his Jazz trio band (Thurein Myint Jazz Trio) across Canada and overseas. He is a coveted for-hire studio and gigging musician, and is currently on the committee of the Kiwanis Music Festival, with special designation as Discipline Captain for the Popular Music category. He continues to ply his trade at both local theatres and international music festivals, keeping him in touch with the needs of the audience.
