CFIB is THE big voice for small business. We have been successfully lobbying all levels of government and banks for 40 years. We have 107,000 members nationwide, 10,000 in BC and about 500 in Kelowna. We are the largest organization of our kind in the world(per capita). CFIB is non-partisan, and derive our strength from quarterly surveys and annual meetings with members. 

A few of our victories include:

  • introducing the small business tax rate in 1982
  • stopping the mergers of four of Canada's largest banks in 1998
  • increasing the lifetime capital gains exemption to $750,000 in 2007
  • established a code of conduct within the credit debit processing industry 2010

 

Members have access to free expert advice and support in dealing with bureaucrats,govt agencies, and banks. We also help members cut costs with our ever-expanding privilege programs.
