What We Offer

Birth Doula PackageBirth Doula Package

Free consultation: An important step before deciding to hire a birth doula. It is an opportunity to get to know one another and will ensure we would both be comfortable working together. This is a great chance to be able to ask the questions that can help you determine if I am the right doula for you.

2 prenatal Visits: This is a time for us to get to know each other so I may better understand your needs. I provide educational information, we discuss your birth preferences and concerns, creating a birth vision. We will discuss comfort measures and will explore anything and everything as it seems relevant to you.

Access to my extensive lending library

Access to educational information, resources and referrals that are reserved for my clients only

On-call services beginning in your 37th week.

At-home labour support from when you need me. This is for home births and for those who want to labour in the comfort of their own home for as long as possible before transitioning to the hospital.

Continuous and knowledgeable labour and birth support at home or in the hospital: including physical comfort methods, labour enhancement techniques, emotional support, effective positioning, informational support, and advocacy support to help you communicate your labour and birth preferences.

Immediate postpartum support to assist with breastfeeding and assist in facilitating and encouraging bonding

In-home postpartum visit focused on integrating the birth experience, answering lingering questions, assisting with breastfeeding and newborn care, and discussing your transition into parenthood.

On-call Breastfeeding support for the first 2 weeks


Postpartum Support and Education

Your postpartum doula will:

  • Help with infant care, giving you a break and time to sleep, shower and do a little bit of self-care
  • Offer feeding support
  • Direct you to resources in the community for new parents and infants
  • Assist with nighttime sleeping and/or breastfeeding support

Postpartum Doula Service Fees:

$25/Hour for daytime shifts

$35/Hour for nighttime shifts (minimum 4 hours)

 

Prenatal or Postnatal Consult

Do you have questions related to your pregnancy and/or birth? Or, questions related to newborn care and/or breastfeeding? Speak with a professional birth worker and educator via phone support, skype, in person to gain access to information or resources for any of your questions or concerns. 

Speak to me directly for a personal consult. $40/hr. 

Caring, compassionate and information/resource support. For all or any needs related to emotional or physical support during this incredible time of transition

Childbirth Education

We know how busy you are. Two comprehensive sessions. Be informed about your pregnancy, birth, newborn and beyond. This is a unique and insightful series meant to educate mothers and partners about birth and parenting. We will explore all the birthing community has to offer in Kelowna and explore communicating with care givers so your pregnancy and birth experience is your own. We recognize how busy you are and so our series is designed to be flexible but also to deliver the most information and education in the shortest amount of time. In your home or in the office, we will explore options in birthing, community resources, breastfeeding, and tools to help both the pregnant person and partner cope with pain management. Topics we will cover: labour and birth process labour positions: helping labour progress breathing and relaxation techniques pain management and comfort measures common medical procedures and interventions planning for postpartum breastfeeding community resources: what’s out there? ….and more!
